FL Developer Is Building With Modular Homes

A local Florida developer is building a new subdivision in Ft. Pierce using modular homes instead of site built. The article is here at tcpalm.com. From the feedback on the article, the developer is getting a lot of crticism for not using block construction and for not being "affordable" enough. The homes meets the state's requirement for wind load.

Less than $190,000 seems affordable to me. I just need to remember the critics are not his target market. People who want an affordable well-built home for around $1,500 per month are the developer's market. Good luck to Strong and Quality LLC on their project.
